Dr Michael Arbel opened Southwest Pediatrics in March of 2009 since then Southwest Pediatrics has grown tremendously. In September of 2017 Southwest Pediatrics joined with several other Pediatrics practices to form Arbor Medical Partners.
Dr. Michael Z. Arbel was born and raised in Israel where he completed his medical degree at the Israel Institute of Technology School of Medicine. Dr. Arbel completed his pediatric residency program at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. In 1991, Dr. Arbel completed his Ambulatory fellowship at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr Arbel is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew.
Dr. Arbel is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is an active member in the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Arizona Pediatric Council. Dr. Arbel has been a practicing Pediatrician in the West Valley since he moved to Arizona in 1993. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Arbel hiking, traveling or just spending time with his wife, three daughters and granddaughter.
Dr. Khan, is a general Pediatrician and has been practicing in Phoenix for 25 years. Dr. Khan completed her residency at Bronx Lebanon Medical Center in New York and Chief Resident for 1 year.
Dr. Khan is Board Certified in Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr Khan is also fluent in Spanish and Uru.
Dr. Khan is an advocate for children and dedicated to improving the quality of care for Pediatric patients and is very interested in medical education. She is an assistant Professor at Midwestern University and supervises medical students from the University. She enjoys serving as a mentor for these students as they build their careers.
Dr. Khan is married and has three daughters. Her oldest daughter is a Pediatric Gastroenterologist and her second-oldest is a Pediatrician. Her youngest daughter is Pre-Med at University of Arizona. She enjoys spending her time with her family and her hobbies include hiking, cooking and reading.
Jennifer has been a practicing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Valley for over 15 years and a pediatric nurse for 25 years. She graduated from Arizona State University with her Masters in Nursing in 2002. She is nationally certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the PNCB. She is fluent in Spanish.
She is a current member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners both at the national and local levels.
Jennifer is married with three children. She is originally from St. Louis, Missourri and moved to Scottsdale at the age of 16 with her parents and siblings. She enjoys camping, reading, hiking, relaxing in Mexico on the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Catherine Tretiakova (Dr. Cat) is a nationally certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Arizona State University. While in school, Cat focused on increasing community awareness of the frequent drownings among toddlers disproportionately affecting families in Arizona. She continues to work on drowning prevention initiatives in the community.
She previously attended nursing school at Grand Canyon University where she obtained her Bachelors. During this time she swam competitively for the University. Cat has been a Registered Nurse working in the pediatric intensive care unit since 2014.
Dr. Cat is committed to promoting family resilience, injury prevention, health and wellness, and supportive care for illness.
She lives in the valley with her husband and daughter. Together they enjoy swimming, cooking, reading, hiking, and traveling.
