Dr Michael Arbel opened Southwest Pediatrics in March of 2009 since then Southwest Pediatrics has grown tremendously. In September of 2017 Southwest Pediatrics joined with several other Pediatrics practices to form Arbor Medical Partners.
Dr. Michael Z. Arbel was born and raised in Israel where he completed his medical degree at the Israel Institute of Technology School of Medicine. Dr. Arbel completed his pediatric residency program at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. In 1991, Dr. Arbel completed his Ambulatory fellowship at the New York University School of Medicine. Dr Arbel is fluent in Spanish and Hebrew.
Dr. Arbel is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is an active member in the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Arizona Pediatric Council.
Dr. Arbel has been a practicing Pediatrician in the West Valley since he moved to Arizona in 1993. In his spare time, you can find Dr. Arbel hiking, traveling or just spending time with his wife, three daughters and granddaughter.
Jennifer has been a practicing Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the Valley for over 15 years and a pediatric nurse for 25 years. She graduated from Arizona State University with her Masters in Nursing in 2002. She is nationally certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the PNCB. She is fluent in Spanish.
She is a current member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners both at the national and local levels.
Jennifer is married with three children. She is originally from St. Louis, Missourri and moved to Scottsdale at the age of 16 with her parents and siblings. She enjoys camping, reading, hiking, relaxing in Mexico on the beach, and spending time with friends and family.
Jen was raised in a military family, and then became a military wife. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a minor in psychology from The Catholic University of America in Washington D.C. in 1999. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing with a focus in child and adolescent health from Wright State University in Dayton, OH in 2009.
She has practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in Maryland, Virginia and since her husband retired from the Navy in 2015, has been practicing in Arizona. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners both at the local and national levels and attends annual conferences to stay abreast of the changes involving pediatric medical care.
Jen is married to an astronautical engineer, and they have two adult sons and one teen daughter. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cooking (and eating), and is a fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Notre Dame Football!
Jen was most recently a contracting provider for the past 6 years at Luke Air Force Base Pediatric Clinic as she felt a call to give back to the military community. She is excited to be joining our team and looks forward to the opportunity to care for your children.
Carolyn was a pediatric registered nurse for 16 years, primarily at Luke Airforce Base. She then advanced her education and graduated in 2021 from Arizona State University with her Doctor of Advanced Practice Nursing, specializing in pediatrics. She is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and is nationally certified as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by the PNCB.
Carolyn loves working with children and their parents and couldn't imagine a more fulfilling career. She is passionate about providing the highest quality of care possible. She understands how stressful it is to deal with health issues and treats everyone with compassion and respect.
Outside of work, she has an amazing life with her children and husband. She enjoys spending time friends, family, and her dogs. She has lived in Phoenix since she was 8 years old and is grateful for all this beautiful city provides.
